FlowCaster.live For Free

The FlowCaster.live site is now available as a free site for all to use.

The free level provides a meeting site style collaborative environment, with features like webcam/chat/emoji, whiteboard/telestration, share desktop, and record session. No install is required, and anybody can sign up without restriction.

There will also be an optional tiered support plan, which includes membership and use of FlowCaster software. Please note that the site can always be used without FlowCaster software, but it does add a number of useful workflows.

Optional support package – provides use of FlowCaster software, email support, access to developers, and prioritizes the client’s new feature requests.

Support is offered as a subscription, at three levels:

• Personal Support: $49.00 US per month (minimum term of 3 months) or $495.00 US per year, supports one user with FlowCaster tools. Designed for the editor to interact with a creative team.
• Corporate support: $795.00 US per year up to 5 users. Designed for larger production facilities with multiple editors. Additional sets of up to 5 can be added as required.
• FlowCaster Server: $15,000.00 US per year plus plugins, supports up to 150 users. Designed for enterprise level workflows. For deployments of greater than 150 users, please contact Drastic for a quote. Can be hosted by Drastic or the client.

Workflows for the FlowCaster.live Site

Review and Approval workflows

send a desktop application such as an editor as a participant in a session, and use the drawing and webcam tools to discuss and illustrate. Import and Export tools provide session details for Adobe/Avid/Resolve editors, so feedback can be seen at the time code location they refer to.

Live Production workflows

use optional Net-X-Code to simultaneously ingest high res and proxy, so editors can work on the fly to create content. Real time webcam chat and message board keep everybody working together as a team, wherever they are. Marker import/export and matching time code bring the conform together efficiently and quickly.

Marketing and Campaign Development workflows

use the whiteboard to add an image, and the drawing and webcam tools to discuss and mark up for campaign development. Share desktop applications such as PowerPoint to offer professional pitches. Use the Record Session tool to record the session as a clip for the team to share.

Features Added by Support

Clients who are on support are provided with free usage of FlowCaster software, for as long as they are on support. FlowCaster software can also be purchased separately as a permanent license. FlowCaster software provides useful features not included in FlowCaster.live Free.

• The Adobe/Avid/Resolve Plugin sends the editor output with time code, closed captions, ancillary data to a variety of targets including FlowCaster.live
• The Adobe/Avid/Resolve Plugin adds support for the Adobe Live Review CEP panel, which provides real time session feedback in Premiere, and Session Markers Import/Export for time code location based feedback.
• Adds wide IP Stream Output support, including BLS, CDI, HLS, NDI, RIST, RTMP, RTP, SRT, ST-2110 (requires optional HW/SW), UDP, and WHIP.
• Adds FC VirtualCam Output so the output of FlowCaster can show up as a webcam in meeting sites such as Zoom, Skype etc.
• Hardware Input provides support for a wide range of hardware input sources for SDI/HDMI, UVC/DirectShow, and NDI.
• Software Input provides support for a wide range of software input sources, such as Adobe/Avid/DaVinci/OpenFX, as well as software NDI sources.
• Cloud Storage setup and access
• Encryption / Watermark /Time Code Burn-in setup
• videoQC Components installed for videoQC file output via IP stream. Requires a valid videoQC Pro license.
